Ad-Free YouTube Subscription Service Reportedly Coming Soon 9
It has been reported multiple times that YouTube will soon offer a subscription service to those who would rather pay than watch advertisements on the world’s largest video streaming website. The service will actually target premium content creators who will be able to put their videos behind a paywall, only paying subscribers will get access, they won’t see ads and content creaters will get a cut from the subscription revenue. A new report says that YouTube plans on launching this as-yet unnamed service before the end of this year

.

Aside from video rentals YouTube has been free since its inception, with advertisements being the primary revenue source for both the company and content creators. This is certainly going to be a major change for content creators and YouTube users alike.
This new service is aimed at popular content creators on YouTube and their viewers, those who pay will get an ad-free experience as well as the ability to watch videos offline. If there’s a good response to this service sources tell The Verge that it’s likely that more category-specific subscription services could be launched on YouTube.
The report also suggests that another subscription service that’s already in beta, Music Key, is also going to be launched to the public by the end of 2015.
