Samsung has continued to update their devices to the latest version of Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. Previously owners had received an update for Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Also, in some regions user are getting “nougat” OTA update for the old Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Now, users of the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 have started reporting that the tablet PC , released in year 2015, with Android Lollipop OS on board, has started receiving notifications for Android 7.0 OS upgrade. This had been confirmed for the Wi-Fi version of the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 in Germany and the LTE-version of the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 in Italy

The new firmware for both tablets includes a new user interface and support for all the features of the Android 7.0 Nougat, such as improved doze energy saving mode, the ability to respond to messages from the notification center, improved multi-mode and others.
Update is currently available to a small number of users and in all regions. Check for OTA update in the device settings.
