Huawei Matepad Pro Design:

First of all, as you can see from the photo at the beginning of the article, thanks to the optional keyboard and the M-Pen it is possible to transform Huawei MatePad Pro into a real traveling office laptop.

From an aesthetic point of view, the tablet has a micro-curved design, a magnesium alloy shell. By connecting the keyboard to the tablet (it weighs 260 grams) the desktop mode is automatically activated which guarantees a user experience very similar to that of a normal computer.

In addition, the keyboard is also a  protective cover and allows you to turn the tablet on and off with its own opening or closing. On the design side, the presence of a hole in the display, necessary to house the front camera, has allowed the frames to be reduced to a minimum with a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Huawei Matepad Pro Display, camera, Performance, and Storage:

On the hardware side, the device sports a 10.8-inch HD + IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, surrounded by frames measuring approximately 4.9 mm.

Under the body, there is the 7nm Kirin 990 SoC, accompanied by 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128, 256, or 512 gigabytes of storage space, expandable through the nanoSD card slot.

Apart from the big screen, there are four speakers and five microphones, while the rear camera is a single 13-megapixel lens with autofocus, there is also an 8-megapixel front.

Speaking of software, as was expected, we have the EMUI 10 interface without Google services, replaced by HMS (Huawei Mobile Services). Obviously there are several optimizations dedicated to both the keyboard and the M-Pen, which can also be used to awaken the tablet and launch the memo app.

On the software side, the tablet owners will enjoy some very convenient features that will facilitate use in the workplace:

  • Multi-Window (multiple apps simultaneously)
  • Multi-screen Collaboration (drag & drop file transfer between smartphone and tablet)
  • Huawei App Multiplier (division of the screen into two windows, 3000 apps will be compatible by the end of March)

Huawei Matepad Pro Battery:

The battery capacity is 7,250 mAh with support for 40W fast charging and 15W wireless, as well as reverse of 7,5W. It has been confirmed that the MatePad Pro is the first tablet in the world to support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

M-Pencil is certainly one of the most anticipated tools for this MatePad: it has 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, support for tilting, and full compatibility with the new notepad and Nebo. There is also a Desktop mode with support for up to 8 apps or processes open simultaneously.
