The Realme X2 Pro is a high-end smartphone that breaks the internet records for fast charging. With a very affordable price starting from $400 (145,200 Nigeria naira, 2,196.95 Ghanaian cedi, 28,208.84 Indian rupee, and 41,300 Kenyan shillings), the new Realme X2 Pro has indeed an impressive datasheet. Here is our quick Hands-on review and first impressions.
Design:
The Realme X2 Pro is undeniably attractive. Fine, light, it offers an excellent grip thanks to its bezel width. The front camera is housed at the top in the middle in a discreet notch, the screen to body ratio is reduced to the maximum (occupancy rate of 91.7%) with a beautiful design. For unlocking, one has the choice between an optical fingerprint reader under the screen and a facial recognition system that both seem very responsive. Apart from a glossy back that takes a lot of fingerprints, there is nothing else to complain about.

Screen and Display:
The screen of Realme X2 Pro is a success. The manufacturer has equipped this phone with a beautiful bright Super AMOLED 6.5 inches (2400 x 1080 in 402 PPI) display. With support for HDR10 + and above all it offers a nice display fluidity with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. This smartphone can display up to 90 frames per second against 60 maximum on most phones, which can only be found at the moment on a few models (eg: OnePlus 7T, Asus ROG Phone).
Performance:
With the Snapdragon 855+ processor, supported by 6 to 12GB RAM LPDDR4X, the Realme X2 Pro is expected to offer high performance. In terms of storage, there are 3 options available: 64 GB UFS 2.1, 128 and 256 GB with UFS 3.0 and no micro SDcard support.
Battery
29 minutes is the time it takes the Realme X2 Pro to go from 0 to 100% battery. This is simply amazing. To achieve this, Realme makes use of the SuperVOOC 50W technology from oppo. The smartphone is equipped with two separate 1950 mAh batteries and recharges them one by one, to avoid overheating which is very effective.
Thanks to the SuperVOOC 50W charging technology, 10 minutes charging is enough to last the users all through the day. There is a 4000 mAh battery and an intelligent autonomy management system that analyzes your usage in order to autonomously determine the most appropriate energy-saving measures (eg in quick standby of unused apps, reducing the amount of cached data, etc.).
Camera:
The company has equipped its X2 Pro with a 16 MP sensor camera at the front and a
quadruple rear camera module with ISOCELL GW1 64 Mpix Samsung sensor, and a wide-angle that opens at f / 1.8.
Based on the process of pixel-binning, the main sensor does not take 64MP photos by default but it combines 4 pixels in 1 to improve picture quality. The ISOCELL GW1 also has the advantage of being larger than the IMX586 Sony sensor (48 Mpix, 1/2 inch) that equips with most smartphones today. A feature supposed to improve the quality of photos in low light.
In addition to this flagship sensor, there is also an ultra-wide-angle lens (opening at f / 2.2) attached to an 8-megapixel sensor and a telephoto lens attached to a 13-megapixel sensor for a possibility of Optical zoom x2.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- Excellent value for money.
- Very good performance.
- Ultra-fast charge (30 minutes).
- Best Camera.
Cons:
- Software overlay too messy.
- Case a bit too heavy.
