Xiaomi has expanded the range of its “smart” home products with the latest released of the new Roborock Sweep One robot vacuum cleaner. This is an improved version of last year’s Robot Vacuum. Just like the last year’s version, Roborock is also engaged in the production of this one, Xiaomi only offers the device through its own brand store.
The 2017 Roborock Sweep One does not look much different from last year’s model. It still makes use of its laser rangefinder to move around the rooms. But one of the key features and difference is the ability to now perform a wet cleaning function.
The latest Roborock Sweep One is now equipped with a large main brush and an additional side brush. At the same time it now uses a very more powerful engine capable of producing pressures up to 2,000 Pa as compared to 1,800 Pa of the original old version. Also, the vacuum cleaner can now overcome obstacles up to 2 cm high.
One of the key innovations is the wet cleaning function. At the bottom of the device is a water tank, which allows user to moisten the inbuilt vacuum napkin to wipe the floor. A full tank is enough for 45-60 minutes of cleaning. When a carpet is detected, the vacuum cleaner automatically increases its power. There are also scheduled cleaning functions in some specified places. Chinese users can also control the gadget using their voice.
The Built-in battery capacity is 5 200 mAh, which is enough for an average of 2.5 hours of work. when it is low on battery power the vacuum cleaner will automatically regulate its power usage. The cost of the latest Roborock Sweep One with wet cleaning feature is about $379, while The old version without this feature cost about $258.
