Several users, following the update to iOS 17.3, are experiencing a problem that apparently seems very worrying.

In fact, for some, when you enter the iOS Settings application, there is no longer the “Face ID and code” section from which you can normally set or change the security code, facial recognition and much more.

Since this is a non-indifferent security feature, no longer finding the menu inside your iPhone immediately raises concerns. Some users wrote to us after contacting Apple Support, but they couldn’t provide an explanation. In this article we tell you how to fix “the problem” and how to make that menu appear again.

How to make the “Face ID & Passcode” menu visible again in iOS Settings

The procedure is very simple. Follow these instructions point by point:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Enter Screen Time (yes, even if you’ve never been in it before)
  3. Scroll down the page and tap on “Content & Privacy Restrictions”
  4. Scroll down the list and under “Code Changes” and clearly set it to Allow
  5. Now go back to the main Settings page and you will find “Face ID & Passcode” in the list
