What tool do I use to flash the unit? I do have the latest windows device recovery tool.

I could see the new firmware available in Recovery Tool but the OS in the recovery image is older than the OS on the device. Can I just update the firmware alone (like BIOS update in computer) ?
Do you by any chance know any Android custom ROM's for Lumia 1520 and how to flash it ?
